Hendrik Hommel – architect, engineer, entrepreneur, and CEO. With decades of experience creating iconic landmarks in Germany, his talent has found its way to
the United Arab Emirates. As life-long CEO of Casamia Star Gesamtplanung Real Estate Broker (L.L.C.), Mr. Hommel has brought German precision, fastidious planning, and a fresh European
aesthetic to the region.
His journey began in 1948, graduating from Wiesbaden & Darmstadt as an architect and engineer. After gaining over a decade of experience in other firms, his
entrepreneurial spirit emerged with the establishment of his first company in 1965. Over the years he has been part of several other successful and reputable
companies. In 2005, his quest to export German quality worldwide finally came to fruition when he joined forces with another successful entrepreneur,
and incorporated Casamia Star Gesamtplanung Real Estate Broker (L.L.C.) in Dubai.
It is impossible to separate Casamia Star Gesamtplanung Real Estate Broker (L.L.C.)’s architectural and business heritage from that of Hendrik Hommel.

Neues Lurgi Haus’ physical appearance can’t help but resemble the personality and tone of the general
tenant, world-renowned engineering corporation LurgiGesellschaften. Nicknamed “Lurgihaus”, the
building was featured in the 1989 Guinness Book of Records (and a number of years thereafter) as
Europe’s largest office building with a surface area of 87,000 square meters. The spacious and light-filled
central lobby expands throughout all floors: various office spaces, conference areas, and employee
restaurants complete the building.

Requiring a harmonious union between tradition and modernity, this project presented a unique set of
challenges. A historical landmark dating back to 1902, the original sandstone façade of the Palace Hotel
measures approximately 30 meters high by 90 meters wide. The historical elements were partly
reconstructed in addition to being integrated into the new, modern
building. Combined with the sheer
size, urban location, and construction requirement of a deep foundation pit, Fuerstenhof is a stellar
example of German traditions for quality, ingenuity, precision, and detailed planning capabilities.
Undine

This building’s iconic wave shape was
designed specifically for the general tenant,
the internationally celebrated
PricewaterhouseCoopers AG. Even though
the original design was expanded, requiring
structural additions, the sleek and elegant
design still takes center stage, subtly
reminding passers-by of the first-class abilities
of its architect.
Such projects along with many other notable German projects such as Omega-Haus II (completed in 1995)
and Goetheplatz (completed in 1999) have cemented Mr. Hommel and Casamia Star Gesamtplanung’s position
within the annals of European real-estate history.
